You can have it shipped to me and I will "calibrate" it for you and make sure it is working properly. This process will only take a few months, 12 at the very most. :)

Which happens almost every year...they all get replaced, and just because they do, it does not mean that it is bad. You want a big television for a low to moderate price. The panny V-series is one of the best displays out there. The one that is replacing it is the VT series, its 3D; however you do not have to use the 3D function.

What TV's are you looking at? Give us the models and we will tell you which one is better.

Personally, I agree with Warp...the V10 is one hell of a television (I own one) and I have yet to see a "NEW MODEL" that puts it to shame in that price range.

I agree with everyone here. The V10 is the way to go.

The differences between it and the "new" model, in all likelihood, do not justify the substantial price difference between the two. Those V10s are about as cheap as they're going to get, I'd wager, and now's the perfect time to grab one!

Yep. At stated price, stated size, V10.

Now, it's before the whole rising blacks thing came up, but this reviewer found it did very well, even compared next to his Sig 141, which is the greatest TV ever made in the history of the world. You can still find those too, btw, but you'll have to double your budget. There were the KRP series (99.9% the same TV) at 50% off for a while, but they've been all snatched up already by last year.

The New King of HDTVs

Read the first paragraph of the conclusion. That is extremely high praise. Probably exaggerated in fact, but still . . .

Yes, I even have the 65" model year before this one and I still love it to death, it puts out a fantastic picture with amazing speed, no motion blur of LCD's and off angles are amazing, and like you I have no need or want for the matter this 3D they keep pushing...

Be smart and snap up the deal on the V10, they are awesome products and IMO at a reasonable price.

3D is a crock of Cr@P and the prices will be escalating on those TV's that support it because of stupid people buy into buzz words and hype.
