Best 4K tv for my setup

Hello,
I'm looking for a new 4K tv for my current setup. I'm looking for a 55" and around $2,500.
Picture quality and Video game responsiveness are my main concerns. I would like it to have all the newest sound options that my receiver can handle.

1. Denon AVRX3400H 7.2 AVR receiver
2. PS4 Pro - being shipped by the end of the month
3. XBOX One - eventually will purchase XBOX One X

Any advice on if now is a good time or should I wait till it's gets closer to the holidays would be appreciated as well. Thank you

Personally, I can't recommend you LG since all my last 3 LG made devices (including a TV) had serious reliability issues.
I'd strongly recommend looking at the alternative Vizio P Quantum

OLED has the best image quality on the market and LG is the one making the panels for both Sony and LG, so you can pick either. The Vizio P Quantum is well reviewed as well. But, from my limited reading, is only available as a 65" display. You go down to the standard P series if you want 55".

55" is pretty darn tiny by most standards these days, but if you sit 6 or 7 feet away, it may be perfect for you. If you are further back, I would try to get something larger. Maybe a lot larger.

I would get the LG for sure, but be aware of burn-in potential which LCD does not really have.
If I were going LCD, then I would probably go with the Sony XBR55X900F 55-Inch 4K Ultra HD model...

I mean, I'd have to scratch up the money to get it in a size which compensates for the rest of my life, but yeah, 55" is available as well.

$2500 is way too much for a 55" uhd tv, I'd get a 65" instead. Samsung's quantum dots are known for their good picture quality and much better response time with games in comparison to Sony or Lg.

Not going to say anything other than I was very happy going with a 65in TV instead of a 75in due to the prices in 2016. I’m pretty sure late 2020 or in 2021 a 75in will be more affordable in 4K, especially if 8K is being offered everywhere. That might work well for me if a NHL expansion club might be starting in Seattle too around that time....

The reason I was going with the 55" is because the room this will be in isn't too big it's about 15' x 10' and I sit about 3-4 feet away from the tv.

I read the reviews for the OLED55E8PUA on amazon and the low reviews said that the burn in is bad. Would it be better to go with a Samsung or Sony?

As much as I want the best picture and best display while playing video games I'm afraid of dealing with the burn in. Is there any insurance company that would cover burn in?

Hi everyone,

I’m still stuck on weather to get the oled or lcd.
For the room size I’m in I think 55” would be large enough.

I did find out that Best Buy protection plan covers burn ins. With this info would the 55” lg e8 be the best option for me?

Video games, sports and movies are what I will be using the tv for in that order. That tv is down to $2,299.99 for the 55”.

Thank you for any help you can give me. I’ve been going in circles deciding.
