I placed an order with www . brand namez . com for a Klipsch RCX-4 center speaker over 1 month ago and I still haven't received it from them (I've contacted them about this).

I now want to buy a pair of Klipsch RSX-5 speakers but the only retailer I find who sells them is www . brand namez . com.

Does anyone know of any other place I can purchase the Klipsch RSX-5s?

[Edit: Let's not give these guys a link if they screwed up that bad... :) - Clint.]

I would not use brandnamez. Look here! They offer different models and brands depending on zip code.

Not the RCX series. Reference series Klipsch speakers are hard to find (at least where I live). Since BB picked up the Synergy series all the serious dealers have dropped them. Kind of a shame but I can see why.

Klipsh search

I did a lot of research into getting a "good deal" online for Klipsch Reference series. If you buy from any non-authorized dealer, you automatically lose the warranty. Consider visiting www.klipsch.com and checking out their dealer locator. I've called all local authorized dealers in my area and they all quoted the standard price, except one. He offered to knock down the price for me buying the whole setup for surround. Nice, no worries about getting scamed from online dealers. I've heard a lot of bad things about brandnamez.com, almost got suckered by their attractive prices.

Hope this helps,

where to buy klipsch

acousticsounddesign.com sells them f0r good prices but you have to go through ebay to buy from them. for some legal reason they cant advertise klipsch on their website. do klipsch search on ebay and the new speakers advertised usually reveal the websites. there are about 3 websites that sell them. type in the model you want at ebay and you can find the speaker you want brand new at a great price. sometimes more than 50% off.

dont buy those piece of crap synergy systems they sell at best buy. for the same price online you can get the referece series line

I just replaced my "piece of crap synergy system" with an Axiom one. While I am happy with the Axioms and would never go back, the Klipsch Synergy's weren't nearly as bad as you think. I've done a direct A/B comparison and when it comes to bass extension and efficiency the Klipschs beat the snot out of the Axioms. Where the Synergys are lacking is in detailed midrange and clarity. The consensus in my household from the non audiophile crowd is that the Axioms are much better for music but for HT there's not much difference.

Keep in mind that there isn't much price diference between the two. Also, the HT reviewers (CNET etc.) usually pan the Klipsch Reference series and love the Synergys. Probably for the same reasons I gave above for the Axioms.

I've been looking at the Klipsch Reference series (RF25) at the Good Guys. They have the full Reference line.
Since I've been looking at a complete HT set up (front towers, center, sats, sub, receiver, DVD) the 'package' price was about 20% off retail. Not too bad considering Good Guys is generally a bit high.
I checked other on-line sources and the prices I got from GG is very competitive especially considering shipping on the speakers is outrageous.

Good to know that Brandnamez.com is not real dependable because I had considered buying from them. My quote from GG is about the same as the prices at Brandnamez - actually cheaper because I don't have to pay $400.+ in shipping.
