what would be a better for eqing 2 klipsch rw12 subs in a room 20x14 with a 15 foot peaked ceiling the bfd or the velodyne sms1, which is more easier to use and which would give you the most control

The automation software/component of the SMS-1 is probably very good. The Behringer equipment requires one to measure/analyse and manually input the corrections. But if maximum raw number of controllable subs is the goal, skip both of these and get Behringer DCX2496. It can control up to 6 subs. It can do a whole more aside from that.....
