Okay, quick recap. I bought a passive sub rated to handle 2400 watts, the seller generously threw in some cables and a Behringer NX3000D amp with what he said had a non working output. The sub is a 4 ohm sub, the amp is rated up to 3000 watts at 4 ohms bridged. It has XLR/1/4" TRS/TS inputs and Speakon outputs. I'm using an unbalanced connection (RCA to 1/4" T/S cable) from my receiver sub preout to the amp input A. Speakon to banana plugs from output A to subwoofer.

The seller's description of the non working output and the way he had it set up is confusing.

"The way I had it set, B was flowing into A. So when they're combined A is the one with output."
"So the input and output would be on A"
"If you set it to stereo, A input/out would be inoperable, and B will be the live channel"

"B flowing into A"? The A input/output doesn't work in stereo but works when they're combined? I flipped between all of the modes and the A channel worked in all of them... Between confusion from that and the getting started PDF I downloaded from the site I'm still a little bit unsure, but I think I figured it out. I'm just looking for confirmation or correction. I'm very pro amp inexperienced and unfamiliar with these menus and settings, tho I figured out how to scroll through and select from them.

From what I can tell there's no filtering or dsp engaged, all that stuff is turned off or flat. When I first set it up it was set on "Dual" mode, which is l/r summed mono into 1 channel I believe. When I ran Audyssey setup it had me adjust the gain to almost 2 o'clock on the Behringer. That was last week and I ran with that for a week. Fast forward to yesterday. I'm re-reading the startup guide and playing in the menus. I figured out how to switch between and choose different amp modes like "Dual", "Stereo", "BIAMP 1", "BIAMP 2" and "Bridge". Like I said, it was on "Dual". I selected "Bridge" yesterday and the output immediately increased at least 3 dB.

So I ran setup again and Audyssey did have me turn the gain down on the Behringer 4 or 5 clicks to below 12 o'clock, instead of almost 2 o'clock, where it was before I switched it to "Bridge". So I'm assuming that now I'm getting full rated power from this amp. Does that sound right? If one of the amp channels was out then it wouldn't work at all in bridge mode would it? I snapped a pic of the menu screen. It has a little diagram beside the mode setting.

That shows 2 channels combined with the A input/output being active or... "B flowing into A", yes? Anyone know what the "-1" means on the right?

Yeah I think the guy just gave you a confusing view of how he used the amp modes available. Does seem it works fine.....is stereo fine with both A & B in use? Depending on the impedance of the sub I might avoid bridging it. Your dual mode sounds maybe like what my Crown calls an input y-mode (to use one input for both channels to output), but I didn't check your manual. The bi-amp mode is more useful for using a top/bottom speaker setup in a live setting.
