Looks and works great, but I haven't used it in the last 5 months so it's just been sitting around in the box.

Paypal preferred.

PM sent.
Does this have a by-pass option?
Am I correct in believing the DSP would delay the signal, so it could only be used for subs if mated to a pre which could compensate the main channels using time delay capability?

Thanks,
Kurt

KEW, Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure it does induce delay like the DCX2496 has a 1ms. To adjust for this one would only need to subtract 1ft from the distance of your speakers in the receiver to match the sub. 1 ft closer.

I assume you were going to use this for a sub...?

Yes I informed KEW that there is a delay and the sub channel distance can be increased by 1 foot to compensate. That's easier than subtracting 1 foot from all the other speakers.

Ah yes, that is another good way to handle it... .:)

Thanks Warp!

I am buying the unit. I was wishing I could use it to EQ my Martin Logan Dynamos paired with an analog pre. But I guess not unless I physically move the speakers back a foot. Worse comes to worse, I'll use it simply to convert from consumer line level to pro line level - $50 is the cost of a simple converter. We'll see.

Actually if you were to EQ your main speakers with it, you would have to move them physically 1 foot closer. On a digital preamp, increasing the distance setting actually tells it to send the sound to that channel sooner, since the sound will take slightly more time to travel to your sitting position. If it's an analog pre-amp it won't do delay for you, meaning you have to physically move them closer so that the sound arrives at the same time as your other speakers.

If you are just going to be running in stereo mode, then you don't have to worry about moving them at all. Delay is relative, and unless you have other non-EQ'ed speakers active you won't notice any difference.
