behringer ep2500 Neutrik Speakon connector

I was reading about the speakon connection on the ep2500 and I am not exactly clear on pros / cons of using this vs using the binding posts.

my current setup is as follows, Sub output from Marantz SR4001 to ep2500 using a RCA/XLR cable. I have a single sub so I have the amp bridged.

In the field the facilitate fast setup and tear down along with touch-proofing the leads and providing strain relief.

In a home environment not so critical but the NL2's are only a few $$'s so I like using them for sub woofer builds.
