and stunk it up.:p

Speedway International in Tucson was hosting an import car show/drag so I though I'd take the bike up and see what I could do. Learned a couple things about launching a bike with a 16,000 redline.

1. A 6000 rpm launch is going to bog......and bog badly.

2. 215lb guy on a 600cc bike is not going to have a very fast trap regardless.

Only got two runs in as it there was a nice turn out and the lanes were packed. I did get to see a twin turbo'd Viper GTS run a 8.8 @ 154mph, have some pics of it though it looks relatively stock with the turbos tuck up and under the block. Only thing that really gives it away is the custom intercooler up front.

So anyways here are my two runs. First was the 6k drop, second run I held it at 8k. I got some tips from some season bike vets while I was out there about how to get a better launch so that was a plus. Maybe get to try them out next weekend.

Run 1:
60'- 2.56
1/8- 8.671
1/4- 12.810
MPH- 118.09

Run 2:
60'- 2.460
1/8- 8.515
1/4- 12.67
MPH- 117.21

Seriously, I have no life.
75 and not a cloud in the sky.:p
26 below in Benedict last night with 40 mph winds. Wind Chill estimate off the clock. Got to 13 below today but the wind is going down.

I have been keeping the lower level furnace stoked like a steam boiler! My wife and I watched Lawrence of Arabia last night. It's nice and cosy inside.

I was talking to my Dad last week and he said it got to -30 below at night there in Iowa. I don't miss that one bit, makes my bones hurt just thinking about it.

For the record...
The thread Hijack was unintentional. Just a 5 yard penalty.
