I think it will be dumb too. I usually enjoy big dumb action movies so I'll definitely check it out at some point.

Lex Luthor seems super lame though.

Man of Steel certainly felt dumb to me. It looks like it should be better than Man of Steel (which means it probably will be a train wreck). A March release could severely diminish this film's earning potential. It's not a historically favorable month for big budget films. It must be Zack Snyder's favorite month or something because many of his films are released in March.

The thing I'm looking forward too most in March is the next and presumably last season of House of Cards.

I doubt it will be an Oscar contender, but I hope it won't be dumb. :)

I thought Man of Steel had some really dumb parts (SPOILER ALERT) - like how Johnathan Kent would rather be killed by a tornado than let his son save him.

So I hope BvS doesn't have any dumb parts like that.

It looks dumb. Man of Steel was very disappointing too IMO. Dumb movies can be fun, but not always.

Now this is the movie I've been waiting to see!

My expectations are so high for this movie. :D

Anyone else excited about this movie ? :D

I am somewhat excited as long as they don't spend the last 45min of the movie throwing each other through buildings like the last Superman, Avengers, Transformers, fill in CGI based action flick, have been doing over the last few years....

I totally agree. I hope they get that out of the way in about 5 minutes and actually have a decent story that is at least half smart. :)

I am probably too optimistic.

I like the idea that Batman can put on a robotic armor suit that puts him on a somewhat equal physical status with aliens. :D

Batman's martial arts skills + robotic superhuman strength should give him a good edge.

Superman doesn't know any martial arts. He just punches and throws guys around, right? :)

Shoot. I think the TV Supergirl could probably beat Superman because she was trained in martial arts. ;)

Why I don't think it will be a good movie.

1. It is going to be 2.5 hours long, that is just too long for a comic movie
2. I am still scared by Aflack as Daredevil, but maybe he can pull a Deadpool
3. Henry Cavill looks the part, but just doesn't bring enough to the roll, I even liked Brandon Routh better in the Part
4. Jessie Eisenberg as Lex, not that he isn't a good actor, he just seems to young for the part, what's next McLove'n as Doomsday? (excuse cheap shot)

I want to like this movie, and Big Ben may be able to pull off Batman, but based on previews seen so far, its just seems like a hot mess. I hope I am proven wrong. There was also Rumor that Nightwing may have made a cameo in this film, much to my disappointment, that is not happening :(

When you have that kind of power, fighting skills are irrelevant. Don't forget, he can move the moon :)

Audience dropped to 78%, which still seems not too bad. Critics on the other hand are giving it a whopping 32%. May rent from Redbox if I get a free deal.

Seems like it follows the trend of most movies these days. Overdone CGI, endless battle scenes and destruction. I knew they cast the wrong person for Lex Luthor. They could have used Kevin Spacey again as he was the best part of that crappy Superman movie.

When will Hollywood learn to bring back substance and be original? Seriously there is little difference these days in action sequences and the CGI used in films.

That's why I liked Mad Max. CGI is used, but as an addition or special scenes, not for for the whole movie. CGI has definitely come a long way, but if you are going to basically make the whole scene with it, then why not just make an animated film?

Movies with substance seem to be far and few these days. Flashy and shallow sells, but not all of us are cattle.

Well, hopefully I will see it this Saturday and give my honest brutal review. :D

It doesn't matter to me if they use too much CGI or have too much action. What matters to me is Character Development and Plot.

If the the Setting is great, Character development is great, Plot is good, Climax is exciting and Resolution is satisfying, then I will love it.

But if it's just all Action and none of those mentioned elements, then I will hate it.

I will go in with an open mind. ;)

Ultimately it comes down to Enjoyment.

Poor story and a bit long. It wasn't bad, but I won't watch it again.

Meh..walked out of movie and I was entertained. Baflack, Batflack (I have applied for copyrights on usage) was actually quite good in the role which surprised me. Superman...Nothing really stood out, because they didn't give him a whole lot to work with. Wonder Woman...H O T!, but again, little to work with.

Lex Luthor...to quote another movie(Tropic Thunder)...went full retard, was too over to top, was more joker at times than Lex Luthor. I really think Jesse Eisenberg went for it in a new direction, unfortunately for him he took too many wrong turns and got lost

and WTF...no after credits... ;)

Just saw BvS. I thought it was better than any other comic book movie ever made.

I thought it was excellent. Absolutely worth my time and money. Will most definitely get the BvS Blu-ray.

IMO it didn't try to preach or lecture the audience about good vs evil. It just immersed the audience in the DC universe uninhibited.

Loved it.
