Hi, I am using Marantz SR 5011 7.2 receiver with Paradigm Monitor 11 V6 front tower speakers. Sometimes my front tower speakers produce lots of Bass which creates distortion. Can anyone please advise me, how to decrease the Bass?

Bass management usually refers to using the subwoofer along with your speakers in a receiver like yours (also known as setting speakers to small to enable bass mangement, large to not use it). If you do not have a sub you can either use the graphic EQ feature or enable the bass tone control to reduce it. Better yet, if you don't have a sub, get one.

There are some great videos on YouTube that help you find proper placement of speakers and where to start. The actual place they sit if they are toed in or straight onward to the listener. The distance from the wall behind and to the side all make a huge difference.
From there you can achieve some bass management by building or buying bass traps. For my HT I have a seating riser that is stuffed with Rockwell insulation and is ported.
Just watched a video last night for a home studio and they made a drop down bass trap using Knauf Insulation for a DIY project it seems fairly easy. For aesthetics there are many companies offering bass traps that can be installed behind the speakers. Have a walk around your room where is the bass the boomiest? Hope this helps!
