Bass management Marantz, Trinnov, MiniDSP?

I am confused about using Audyssey on a Marantz AV10 with 2 subs (Older Monitor Audio Sub and new Perlisten D212S)

Willing to get Audyssey MultiEQ app, of course. Would I benefit having a MiniDSP (and using REW) in addition with the Marantz system for sub alignment?

Also, would I try to gain match the newer and more powerful D212S sub with the older Monitor Audio sub? Seems I would not want the bigger one to only play as loud as the small one, or am I thinking of this wrong?

Trying to understand the big picture before I take a deeper dive.

I guess my main question is whether a MiniDSP is used to help calibrate subwoofers on Marantz/Audyssey/Audyssey MultiEQ Editor (2 subs). Or does this system do everything that a MiniDSP setup would do and make it not necessary?

My other question is whether you gain match Subwoofers of different sizes and wattages.
