I have a Denon AVR1610 running Aperion 5 series speakers with an 8D sub. I just finished the Audyssey setup. Everything sounds pretty good except the Bass drops out on low volume side of what is playing. It is quite abrupt. I would expect a smoother transition at that end. I'm following all the recommendations regarding crossover, phase, speaker size and LPE filter set at 120Hz. Before I started randomly trying different things I'd like some thoughts on where to start. Thanks!

The problem is the auto on. Your signal drops to the point your sub switches off, as it no longer detects the signal.

Increase the LFE output on your receiver and turn down the sub volume. Your other option is to set the sub to always on.
