Hey guys, I live in a dorm room the size of a prison cell, would the VTF-1 be enough bass for it? 10x10x7

Yes and no. In a square room, bass can be problematic, so you will need to place any sub in there carefully. In a room that size, that sub should be plenty though expect to have to deal with some room modes.

I used an STF-1 in my 14x11x10 (LxWxH) dorm room last year and found it to be plenty of bass. I had to fool around with placement to get it to sound good at the listening position (I used the crawling method), but when I did, it was great. Watching Pirates of the Caribbean resulted in some knocks on my door :D

So yes, I think it should be sufficient for output. The only limiting factor is extension, the only thing I really found lacking with my setup last year. If I were you, I'd try to go for something with more extension, but that's just me.

I have an stf-1 in my room at home, its 14x15x10 it puts out plenty off bass, I have it turned up probably 70% though. I do agree that it is lacking in extension. It has meaningful output down to about 35 hz.

Good grief Dude! A VTF-1 in a dorm room! That's enough sub for most peoples living rooms! By the way, HAVE FUN, and whens the keg party?
