I built a new home audio system and the receiver I have does not have the built-in cut off for what I need for my tower speakers. I would like to know if I can buy or build something for the frequency cutoff of my tower speakers at 73hz or little higher for in line application

Your receiver has no bass management to provide a high pass filter for your speakers? What make and model is the receiver (and the speakers, too)?

It does but it cuts off at 65hz and my speakers are rated for 73hz and when I crank it up I can hear stuff I don't want to hear and turn it down I don't want to do that I like it loud!

Your Pioneer receiver has only a setting for crossover of 65hz? Not 80? Or 100? Just 65? Anything below 65? Nice to know model number....
