debating between these amps for my sub stage which will be a Phoenix gold cyclone.

both are about the same price now with PE reduction in price of the bash. For processing I will have behringer deq and dcx so I dont care about the xover on the bash amp.

which one would you guys go for?

Is the Cyclone 8 ohm nominal? The A500's bridged mode is only rated for 8 ohms nominal load. If it is, then the A500 is probably a better choice if future versatility is important: you can use the A500 for things other than a sub amp.

it is a 8 ohm driver....but only needs MAX 300 watts, 150 watts would actually be fine.

Either would work but id have to watch my gains (my termonolgy is based towards car audio so I may be little off with terms in this realm) on the A500. I plan to use two A500s or carver zrs for my midbass and highs so I'm only looking at it for subs.

I know the behrigner is class a/b but what is the bash amp? It say digital so Im assuming something along the lines of type X...

Sub amp

The Bash amp probably includes adjustments for the crossover and phase which may be helpful depending on your application.
Also, it sounds like a 200-300 Watt plate amp might be a better match for your current sub design.

If you like impressive bass you need power. Cannot use power you don't have. So, I'd opt for the max possible if $$ is equivalent which you indicate that it is now.
