Well, finally some progress!

Thanks to some weather flukes in the NE last week, my concrete contractor was able to move my project up. Since it was cold and raining, some of his outside jobs had to be rescheduled. We got the old floor cut out, crushed, and the new floor poured last week. Cutting out the old floor was like an archeological dig. We were able to see the design of the very first floor that was installed when the house was built some 60+ years ago.

Man, what an experience, but I'm finally going to be able to do the room the way I want. Right now I'm re-wiring the room. I'm going to add terminals in the back wall for back surrounds. I might as well do it now while there is no carpet or paint.

I'm a little behind schedule, but I'm remembering to take my time and enjoy the journey. Right, that's how it's supposed to go, right?
