Sound bounces off my bar which makes many budget setups sound good in that area. Believe it not and to give you some perspective....many people have been amazed at how nice and loud my current Vizio SB3821 soundbar with sub sounds in that area. This soundbar has been praised on the wirecutter.com and many other places. My reason of using one is because of afraid of stepping up to a true HT setup because I wouldn't know how to correctly tweak the settings to sound optimal vs a soundbar which is already pre-programmed. I know what you would be thinking, but believe me the Vizio sounds killer in this area.
I always thought a true HT setup would just "look" and "sound" nicer next to my projector setup.
Considering these bookshelves and center. Q Acoustics 3020 or Emptek r5Bi.
Sub: Dayton 1500 or Monoprice 7823

A/V: I'm leaning towards Denon because of the easier auto setup, but just not sure which model.
