I'm in the market to upgrade my surround sound system but I don't know a great deal about receivers and such. I'm not an audioholic by any means, but do appreciate quality. My biggest fear is spending money, to find out I could've gotten something better for the same amount or should've spent a bit more and gotten more bang for the buck.
I've a ps3 and a Sammy LN46a630. The room is roughly 18x20. For an idea of what I'm looking at now, the Onkyo HT-SR800 ($500) or something a bit more like the Onkyo HT-S7100 ($800).
So i'm trying to spend $500-$800.
I realize that's not a lot of cash but I think there's going to be something that can get me good quality audio to maximize what Dolby TrueHD has to offer.
Sorry so long and rambling, if there is a better place to post this on these forums please provide a link, and most importantly thanks for your help in advance.
