banana plug y- splitters? Need to link bottom and top of speakers

Hello,

I have speakers that have two parts to them and I lost the cables that link the two together. The old one had a bana plug splitter so that I could link the bottom to the top. I don't know where you'd get them. I could just use plain old braided wire between the two but I thought I'd try and make them look nice. I could also buy biwires but I already have plenty of good wire.

Thanks

I think buying some banana plugs and wire and making the connectors yourself will be the best way to go. Just get the best looking plugs and wire that you like if you want it to look nice. The locking banana plugs from Blue Jeans cable are what I use and I think they are great. I need to order some more actually.

They look just like the WBT plugs, but much cheaper at $5.25 a pair.

How far apart are the two terminals? Are we talking inches or feet? I agree making them yourself is probably the simplest way to go. If you use a "stackable" plug for the first one, you can just plug the second wire run into the first one. They aren't cheap though it seems. I use the Bluejeans locking ones as well and I am very happy with them, though they are not stackable.

The easiest way I believe would be to get a banana that simply accepts a large size wire so you can just connect the second wire into one plug. You might give the 091-330 a look at www.partsexpress.com I've used those and I like them too, and the side entry should accept plenty of wire.

Thanks.

I'm looking at the stackables at Partsexpress but am unsure of the diameter of a standard banana plug so I'm not sure what gauge that would work out to be. This might be the right thing but I can't tell from the information - http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=091-332
I suppose something like this might work as well altough I'd like them to be gold plated - ideally very nice looking.
