I hooked up my theater system a few months ago. I started noticing the hdmi cable running from my amp to my plasma would make the picture purpleish. I would wiggle the cable on the back of the amp and the picture would come back. It started getting worse to the point where I would have to hold it to one side in order to get the picture to work. I tried another cable and wiggled it back and forth and could not replicate the problem. This led me to believe it is the cable that is bad. One major problem is that I ran the cable behind the drywall, replastered, retextured, and repainted the wall after the process was finished. It is not a simple task for me to replace this cable. Has anyone ever heard of replacing just the end piece of the cable? Or does anyone have any other great ideas about how to fix this problem?
Thanks,
Toby Tucker
