I have a 5.1 system currently working and want to make a 7.1 currently my sourround speakers are dipole and are placed on the sides of the listening area and hung on the wall. the Rear channel must be in cieling they can not be in walls because the wall is made of cinderblock I can move my other surnds back if nesesary the wife only allows me those two hang 2the couch goes righton the wall so I think im only limited to in cieling. my question is what type of speaker should use direct or dipole? second is this going to sound as it should ? is it even worth doing ?
