Back In The Game.....well sorta!!!!!!!

Folks, as many of you know I sold almost all of my gear. I never did sell my 42" 1080p LG. As such, the sound from the LG just sucks!! I was going to buy a PS3, but have decided against that because the price is just too high. Thus, I decided to buy a Sony 550 BR player instead as I got a great deal on it.

I have been looking at TSC for possible alternatives. In doing so, I came across some deals at newegg.com that were too good to pass up. I now have the Polk Monitor 50's, CS10, and the Monitor 30's. Wouldn't you know it, the bass from these speakers sound weak. As a result, I now have a 12" Paradigm DSP-3200 for LFE. I am amazed at how good it performs! Everything is powered by a Yammie 663 that I also got a great deal on. In short, I am back in the game somewhat. The sound is much better than my LG speakers and I am quite pleased given the deals I got on everything. I have owned better gear, but then again it was also more expensive. For the time being, this will suffice.

I must say, however, that TSC really had my attention. If it were not for the deals I got on my new gear mentioned above, I would had ordered from TSC. For example, the subs they offer are priced just right and from what I garner offer huge bang for your buck. Kudos to them for doing so. Just glad I can still hang out with my fellow audioholics. You folks have become a part of my family and for that I can NOT thank you all enough.

Thanks a bunch. I still spent a bit more than I wanted to, but in the end it is worth it. The Paradigm sub is very good. Much better than the PS1000 v.4 I owned at one time. Very tight and punchy with decent extension. I need to experiment with placement some more and perhaps yield even better results. Appreciate your kind words.

One thing I forgot to mention about my new set-up is-well it happens to be much better than a htib. I just could not stand to watch a movie on my 42" LG. The sound is really bad. As such, I am kinda back in the game so to speak. Only this time, it is more fun with less pressure. The speakers and gear I am using do a great job for what it is. Appreciate the kind words.
