I bet you dogs aren't fans of ribbon tweeters.. they probably prefer a steep rolloff of the high end.
It's subwoofers that she hates. Playing around today I played the bedroom scene from The Haunting. The poor old girl almost jumped out of her skin. She's going to really freak with a second monster sized sub. :D

Mine doesn't care either. I had them in my setup for about a month without issue from any of the animals in the house :)

LOL. I was playing something the other day and while she is used to the sub, whatever I had on was playing LOUD and she sat up and had a look of terror like the house was going to come down :D

I like both but have never compared them side by side. If it helps the Bostons are a lot better looking but they're also really big. Why don't you post a VR3 vs CMT-340 thread. Also see if anybody in your area has either.
Sholling, my mains are about the same size as the VR3' or pretty close, Athena F2's 41H X 10W X 15D and weigh 54 lbs. I like the looks of the VR3's and the center seems nice also.
