I audition many different models of Paradigm and Bowers & Wilkins.
For me, my taste, my ears, It was not hard to make a decision;
I went for the B&Ws.
Now I'm not saying that B&W is better, Im just trying to say that they are 100% different.
I could never tell someone to get one over the other, they are just different!
Paradigm, to me sounded excellent on the mids but was missing everything else.
But that's just me.
One thing I learned from forums is that you can't never ask which speakers to get; is up to you.
Some love Paradigms, some love B&W, some hate them both.

pablo2k, I agree with you. Both companies make fantastic speakers and it comes down to personal tast when deciding. Looks like you got the 684's? What model paradigm were you comparing it to, and what ultimatly made you decide to go B&W (bass, treble, mid, dynamics, imaging, soundstage, price, etc.?)

I listen to monitor 9s, titans, and studios (the big ones) and I felt that my 684 sounded much better than those. I can see how awesome a saxophone would sound in paradigms, but to my ear I needed more bass/lower midrange, and highs. Hard to explain, but my ears were hurting with the paradigms. To it felt like there was a big horn in from of me. And my sales man just loved them. I dont know how true is this, but someone told me once that many people that love paradigms are those who went to many rock concerts and made their ears less sensitive to mids, therefore they are just perfect for them.
Please dont take that offensive paradigm guys, maybe my ears are too sensitive to mids!

Oh yes im partly deaf due to some concert i went too...and now i needed some Paradigms so i can hear the highs and mids!:cool:...ok if your 2007 684's sounds better then the studio 60 or 100's v5 that you say you auditioned then keep them and be happy!...so then why did you start a trhead asking for..B&W VS Paradigm if it wasnt to get opinions from other people?...lol..im sure your speakers sounds really good!.

oh yea, sorry about that, the reason I started this thread is because before I bought my speakers I kept asking on every forum which one I should go for, and I realized that asking was never going to help! I'm just letting others that are on the place I was, that you are going to have to do your best to find a dealer that carries either one, because they are so different. Thats all! :)

I personally prefer B&Ws they have the best midranges out there making fantastic vocal speakers. They do have some upper range off axis issues though.
