All depends on how you hear the speaker and which sounds better to you. I've heard B&W and they didn't really do it for me, but thats my ears telling me that, you may hear it a completely different way. Go out and listen to both and bring your music collection, let you ears decide.

Like Spiffy said, how they sound to you is what's most important. I've heard both the B&W 602 S3 and the Chorus 707 -- both very nice speakers -- at different times and different places. I happened to prefer the Chorus 707 but it could be that the acoustical environment was better where I heard them; hard to tell.

There is a shop up near me (well 4 hrs away) selling some chorus 725's for $385 CDN. The catch is the backs are chipped and the colours don't match. The full factory warranty is in place though. Dear lord the temptation. Those speakers have an MSRP of $1600 CDN. Might have to go for a weekend trip to Ottawa. Can't go with the boys though (man am I in the doghouse-not for audio this time), and the GF is working this weekend, oh yeah, and I don't have the cash.

Takeereasy! Life is full of these little temptations. Restraint, me boy, restraint. Your Perfect Pair is coming, lol. It's a little like an ol' joke. Two bulls, one young and one old, are standing on a hill. Down below in the meadow are dozens of cute little heffers. The horny young bull, all a-twitter says, "Ooo-weee! Let's run on down there and get us a cow!" The old bull looks over at his hyped up friend and says, "Son, let's WALK on down and get 'em all!!"

Or something like that. :D

LOL, sorry it took me so long to post back guys. I'm still in the doghouse, worst time ever for it, couldn't get away to demo the speakers. I know all about restraint but those are some mighty fine looking speakers that would have been nice to at least hear. Oh well, one thing I really don't need is new speakers at the moment, but still my natural attraction to shiny things on sale nearly got the better of me.
