Perhaps, but my money is on an iPod docking station with some cool mini Natilus speakers.

Why should they bother supporting a lossy format? It is the antithesis of high fidelity.

For one reason not everyone shares your opinion on that. Second, they initiated the survey, why don't you ask them.

Because tens of millions of people have bought a $300 iPod. If a fraction of those people bought a B&W product it would be big business.

exactly
there is a big chunk of profit to be made here, make a little plastic docking station, throw some speakers on it, charge a few hundred for it, and there ya go

Do you guys use an Ipod? I hate them. They only have presets. My Zen Micro has a 5 band EQ.

Not only that, the headphones that come with them are hopeless. My zen ones were much better, and my HD500's are better then those! :)

I have an ipod...and the only time i've used the eq is trying to get a couple of albums that were poorly mastered (rush-vapor trails) to sound decent. I threw away the headphones when I got the ipod, but that's because earbuds cause me acute pain (feeling like a needle being stabbed into my eardrum) followed by dizziness and headaches. That's even at low volumes.

I use my ZenMicro Photo for virtually all of my music listening. I hook it up to my main system, my car, my wireless headphones, and earbuds. I will be upgrading to Shure or Etymotive earbuds soon.

I liked everything about the Ipod except the fact that it does not support WMA, in which my entire music collection is encoded, and it does not have a replaceable battery.

WMA sounds quite a bit better than MP3 at the same bit rate. A 128k WMA is barely distinguishable from the original and 192k is equal, in my opinion.

It will be interesting to see what B&W is has planned.
