B&W LM1 vs DefTech ProMonitor 1000

Which is a better speaker? The B&W LM1 or DefTech ProMonitor 1000?

Mostly music and TV watching, some movies. Going in an open living room

Only your ears can tell you which is better. Both companies make great sounding speakers.

I have not heard the ProMonitor 1000 but I thought the LM1's were a little bright for my ears. I thought the M1's sounded much better for a tiny speaker.

While I have not heard those specific models, I have heard great sounding speakers from both companies. As Glock says, you have to listen for yourself.

I used to have a pair of LM1s on my desk at work and loved them. I don't think I would use them for main speakers in even a small room.

I ended up getting the ProMonitors. imo, the ProMonitors have a very full sound that simply is hard to beat. I much prefer its sound over the LM1s and my KEF KHT2005.2s
