B&W CM9 or other speakers with same quality of sound

HI,
i was at the magnolia and listened to the CM9 and its two 500watt sub-woofers. i was blown away, but the price was too much. i'm looking for an affordable speakers probably for LCR under 750 each. sub-woofer i can invest little bit.
I also want a good receiver that'll provide some good amp per channel.

My set up would be 3 on floor speakers + sub and 4 in-ceiling speakers.

$2250 for fronts?

The Salk SongTowers would be a good match if you ran a phantom center (about $2k for the L/R) speakers. I've not heard the standard SongTowers , but the reviews are nothing but positive (see below) the SCSongTowers were amazing to listen to. Used or base-finish (the review: a couple years old now, lists the price as $1600/pr) might get you to your $750per and let you go R/C/L.
