Hi All,

I am planning to purchase B&W CM10 S2 speakers (Room is square 25 x 25 ft)

I need help with the following:

  • Is the Front Speakers the right selection for the room size ?
  • Which center speaker to use ?
  • What and How many Subwoofer should I add ?
  • What and How many rear speakers to add ?
  • Which amplifier to power this with ?

I would love to get help as I am a complete novice. Thanking in Advance.

If you love how they sound at the store, you will probably love how they sound in your room.

The CM series offer the Center and surround (bookshelf) speakers too.

That should be fine unless you like listening at very loud volumes.
Which center speaker to use ?
This one
What and How many Subwoofer should I add ?
Get at least two subwoofers. For reasonably priced ones, I would look at Hsu, Outlaw Audio, Rythmik, SVS.
What and How many rear speakers to add ?
I would go for four of these things. If that is a bit pricey for you, I think these would be a good substitute.
Which amplifier to power this with ?
You might look at this beast or this beast. On the other hand, if this stuff is going into an equipment closet and doesn't have to look pretty, just get a couple of these and save some money.

shadyj is suggesting power amps presuming you have an avr or pre/pro to use such with, do you have such a unit to use with a power amp? Or do you need an avr and a power amp, or wish to go with a pre-pro and power amp combo? Without knowing how loud you plan to listen, hard to make particular amp suggestions unless you're just wanting to play it safe with overkill on the power end. For modest listening levels I'd start with an avr with pre-outs then decide if adding a power amp was necessary.

Sticking with the same speaker line you're preferring for your mains (i.e. center) would probably be a good idea, but for surrounds may not matter a lot unless you're very into multi-ch music.

What is it about these speakers you found better than other choices? What did you audition?
