Hey folks-

Which is a better used 200w x 2 amp: B&K ST-202 vs. Adcom GFA-555?
Any thoughts?

The B&K is no slouch either. My dad has one running some older Magnepans quite niceley.

I have a GFA-555 which I purchased new a long time ago. I now use a Coda/Continuum amp for the front mains, but run the Adcom in mono to drive my center channel (I have a two-channel system converted to HT).

The Adcom has held up well over the years and is a nice sounding amp. I've never heard the B&K, but have read good things about them.

I've had a GFA 555 II for several years and it has been an excelent amp - plenty of reserve power. I now use it to power my front LR in my HT setup. Have not used B&K, but have read good things about them. I'm thinking you will do well with either of these units.
