Axiom W3 Architectural Speakers

Has anyone here heard the Axiom M3 on/in wall speakers?

Clickety-click

I've added the M60ti's to the speakers I'm interested in eventually updating to. But I'm having issues figuring out what would be good in the way of surrounds. I've got an oddly laid out room, so that I can't have side surrounds. The left side is opened to the kitchen/dining room. The speakers would be about 8' directly behind the listening position. So I'm not sure if the quadpole speakers that were reviewed with the M80ti's here would work, since there's not much to reflect the sound back. (If that is indeed how they're supposed to work) So that's why I'm curious about the M3's.

Thoughts?

Have you considered in ceiling speakers?

Certain mounts also allow you to mount a speaker to the ceiling and point it forward a bit so it doesn't face straight down.

The ceiling is angled above 1/2 of the couch and flat above the other. Would it work in that instance?

Axioms S8s sounds like a good match. Speakers fire in every direction, so it would seem what you might be looking for. :)

Mounting options.

What about one of the Axiom speaker stands for the left side? Also consider wall mounting the right speaker on the wall and using an omnimount type bracket to hang the left speaker from the ceiling.

Form what I have read, the QS8s will be much more forgiving in terms of placement than a direct radiating speaker like the W3's. If you must stick with rear wall, QS8s mounted at the rear "corners" angled towards the listening position with the Axiom Full Metal Brackets will probably work well.

I would also email or call Axiom because they have great customer support.

Thanks. I just sent them an e-mail. I've never heard the Quadpolar type of speakers, so I'm not familiar with how they work.
