Axiom vs. Paradigm ???

Which speakers are better bang for the buck? I'm looking at the Axiom M22Ti's and the VP150 from the Axiom Line-up; and the Studio 40's with the CC470 from Paradigm. These will be for my front three channels. I am currently running the Paradigm LCR350's as my 3 mains with the Monitor 3's in the rear.

There's obviously a large price discrepency, but does it fall within the path of diminishing returns? The Paradigms cost quite a few bucks more than the Axioms. I've read some great things about Axiom. Paradigms have some good reviews out there as well.

There are a bunch of threads already on these 2 company speakers in this forum. Do a search by the keyword and you'll have enough to digest for a few days! :D I, for one, use Axiom m80s, vp-150 and QS-8 and love them. Have fun doing your homework. ;)

The Studio 40s are a clear step above the M22s. If you want something that compares very favorably the the Paradigms, IMO, at half the price check into Ascend Acoustics 340s. You can find more info at the Ascend Forum.

Wow you are really comparing apples to oranges, not even sure how you came to compare the two setups.

The Axioms are comparable to the Paradigm Monitor line (i.e. The Mini Monitors and the cc-270), not the Studio line.

The large price difference you spoke of is for a reason, the Paradigms Studios you mentioned are in a different class than the Axioms.

My advice to you is two fold:

1--Audition both setups side by side to understand why the Paradigms Studio’s are a more expensive speaker.

2--You get what you pay for.

I strongly suggest getting the best you can afford, it will likely be a long term purchase.
