When evaluating your new speakers, turn the TV off. I've had people say there wasn't a big diffrence between a $200HTiB and a $1500 system. After listening to the first 12 minutes of the DTS Akira twice (once on each system), nobody has ever said they were "similar" again.

I have a pair of Axiom M60's & am very pleased with them. Are they the best speakers I've heard? No, but for $800 I could not be happier. They are clear & revealing. I was originally driving them with just my Yamaha 3300 receiver & I could see how some might consider them bright. The bass just wasn't there w/o using either the bass boost or turning up the bass control. I now have amps tied to the 3300 & the sound is very balanced.

If you're going with separates I'm sure you will be impressed with their sound. Definately do not dismiss them w/o listening to them.

What is this "show special" for the 522 aperions, I keep hearing about?
