See that glossy little fella right there? That's Axiom Audio's sexy new M0 PC speaker. The complete package will consist of two satellites and a sub that combined wil deliver 225 watts of power. The M0s will come out this June for $599. That's a lot of money to ask for a pair of cans (the only other pair I can think of priced that high are these), but Axiom is betting the house on their first PC-based speakers. The company also has a wireless (and solar powered) outdoor speaker planned for the summer.
Looks interesting. I love the finish on them. They would make my ugly as sin desk look even worse though.

Thats cool. I've been using Axiom M3's for PC speakers for almost 2 years now.

"The MZeros will come out this June for $399 sans the $220 woofer."

Article looks like it says $399 for the MZeros and then another $220 - for a grand total of $619 - so they must be running a package deal. That's, um, pretty expensive for PC speakers. They will have a lot of competition at that pricing.

From the chatter on the Axiom boards, it sounds like we should be skeptical of certainly the name and perhaps the pricing. There's a contest to name the speakers, and the name hasn't been announced; M0 seems to have been a working name only.

399 for speakers IS a bit UNcompetetive, lot's of bookshelves in this price point. UNLESS, these speakers were specifically tweaked for nearfield listening ... did they do this Clint?

Yesh...the Audioengine A5 would be pretty steep competition at this price range. Although it's no where close to it's stated 50-22KHz +/-1.5db response. Though, TBH, Axiom's stated specs are usually an exaggeration--which is amusing, considering they actually give you the FR graph to peruse.

I really need something smaller for my PC, but nobody has come out with anything affordable that I want. Considered Swan M200s but they're too "huge" for desk duty. These look promising, but probably too expensive. It looks like AV123 might have something coming out as well from that set of photos I saw recently (with the X-SLS in it) but knowing them it'll be two years before anything materializes.

IMO, the Klipsch iFi is the best combo between multimedia size and hi-fi performance on the desktop.

I saw that picture too. If i remember correctly AV123 used to offer some sort of "computer" speaker package but they stopped selling it. I wonder if that was one of those or if they have another product in the works. It seems like they are always coming out with new stuff so I wouldn't put it past them.

After surfing their forum and wiki last night, it looks like they're planning a $100 2.1 set that looks promising both in performance and size (both being important since I don't have a lot of space). My fingers are crossed!

I can't help but get the feeling that AV123 is going to over extend themselves at some point.

AV123 used to sell the Swan M200s off their website.
