Since I got no response on this post, I modified them to hold my center. Basically, chopped them to the right height, and put a plank across them... spanning the subwoofer. It worked out great, definitely better than putting the center in front of the sub.
Bottom line, this item is not for sale any more. Thanks to all who read the post.
