Axiom EP500 v2 vs SVS Sub

I narrowed it down to two sub companies, Axiom and SVS. The wife was looking at my choices of subs and she seems to really like the EP500. Now, which SVS sub is comparable in bass to this? I'm looking for Bass that will hit me in the chest and shake the house. Is the EP500 what I'm looking for? My room is 14W x 20L x 8H and pretty much open.

there are prices on the sonicboomaudio.com website, whichever is the same price is the direct competitor to the Axiom.
