Axiom EP500 & EP600 Subwoofers

When Axiom invited us out to their facility to show us their latest subwoofers, I knew it must be big news. Knowing Audioholics’ reputation of testing manufacturers’ claims (especially regarding cables) the folks at Axiom must have been pretty confident with their new designs. Axiom loudspeaker design philosophies adhere to their rigid scientific measurement standards and psychoacoustical testing protocols of the National Research Council (NRC). They use these time tested principles to prove out the designs of their products both analytically via controlled measurement practices and techniques, and sonically via controlled Double Blind Listening Tests (DBT’s).

Axiom speakers/subs

Great review, looks like you and your wife had a great time. I have a 7.1 stup with axiom speakers and I really love them I was hoping you guys would review their subs since that is my missing piece. How do they compare with the SVS and HSU for the same price? I am sure the crew on the forum will help answer with all the technical jargon (if you are restricted from comparing I understand.) Still that seemed like a glowing review. Thanks a lot.

They're on their way.

We're certainly not "restricted" but we stay away from apples to oranges whenever possible (plus we dont like to make choices for people when we write 30 pages worth of reviews on 2-3 products...)

These Axiom subs will compete BIG TIME with SVS and Hsu - the Axiom crew knew that was their competition before they started.
