Don't buy into the "certain speakers sound best with certain receivers" line.
The speakers themselves, the room they're in, and the speakers placement within the room determine the sound. The receiver's participation in that chain is so far down the line it's laughable.
As long as a receiver has adequate power to cleanly drive the speakers to a level that suits you, you're home free.
I've not heard the speakers but nowadays some dedicated sub manufacturers (like hsu research) have been offering better value than brands that do all types of speakers.
