avr 887

I have a Denon AVR 887 and I cant get this to work. I have a HDMI input from a DVD player and am trying to output to a monitor via the component outputs. I cant get it to work, does any no how to set this up....

I'm afraid it doesn't work that way. HDMI input to the 887 can only be output via HDMI.
