AVR 7300 EZSet/EQ Help

Hi Guys, Can anyone else who owns a HK AVR7300 tell me what happens when the EZSet sequence is started? I am confused. I thought the first time I ran it, that it sent sound to the front Left speaker first, it stayed on that speaker for a while, while it set its levels, then it said Pass on the remote LCD and then it moved on to the next speaker and did the same thing. NOW, when I try to run EZSet, the tone just keeps circling the room one speaker at a time. It stays on each speaker for about 2 secs and then moves on to the next. Am I imagining things or is it supposed to pause on each speaker until it is set before it moves on to the next? I'm so aggravated with this thing. Of course the dog and my girlfriend had to enter the room the first time I was running EZset so it got screwed up halfway through and ever since, I have not been able to get it to work the way I thought it was supposed to. when I hit the EZset button (SPL Button), then Set, Then move # of speakers to 7 and then hit Set again, it cycles the sound through all of the speakers 2 secs at atime instead of pausing on each channel until it is set then moving on. Can someone verify if I am going crazy or if there is something I can do to run EZSet correctly? Thanks very much for you're help guys.

My AVR635 is sitting right next to my rack. I'm tempted to just go back to it and say screw the 7300. I've had nothing but trouble with it since I got it 4 days ago. Thanks again!

I didn't use the EZSet feature, so I'm not able to help you.

If you're not satisified, you should probably go back to your 635. It has basically the same features as the 7300, except the pant kicking power and better video upconversion. :)

Thanks

Thank You for the reply. There's got to be someone out there that has a 7300 that can just tell me what is supposed to happen to the test sounds when I use EZSet/EQ? Does it cycle through all the speakers 2 seconds at a time, or does it stop on each speaker until calibration is complete for that speaker, then it moves to the next and stays on it until it is calibrated and so on, etc... It's a simple question. Can anyone please help? I'll be eternally greatful!!! Thank You!

Try to reset. That's what I always do when I get too confused with electronic gadget settings.

If you needed that much power, why didn't you just buy an amp and keep your 635 as the pre/pro?
