I have a second tv in my bedroom that shares the same wall as my main living room stack. the majority of my TV viewing is of my S3 TiVo and due to some cablecard constraints i cant stream content to the second TV even if i bought a second S3. Seeing as the second tv can be connected via a 3m hdmi and my remote is rf, i can get all content from living room onto second tv and control it by just adding the cable. i have no intentions of using a receiver in the second zone so using the hdmi will get me the audio there via one cable.
My question is: can the 4806 output to both the HDMI and Component at the same time for the same zone?
I will never actually have both on at the same time but think it may be a setup/config issue. I know i can get it done via second zone but would really like to avoid this option for two reasons. Principly, i want to avoid reprogramming my pronto with all the reciever commands for first/second zones as well as adding complexity to the remote itself. I have been very careful to keep the remote very intuitive so anyone picking it up can use without asking any questions. second i believe the receiver assumes the HDMI out is primary. i bet i can change that but once again its tinkering that i would rather avoid if i can just plug in a cable and go.
am i totaly off base on this? i have ordered the cable and know it can make it work somehow. i would just like to know if this is going to be 30 minutes of work or 15 hours. Or if there is a third option i missed
