avr 247 HDMI Issues

I have just had my AVR247 returned from warranty. I hooked everything back up and it works great. That was until I tried hooking up my HP Pavilion laptop to one of the HDMI inputs. My laptop detects the Sharp TV, but the receiver is not passing the video or audio signals through. I just get a blue screen on the TV. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am not sure if it is a laptop issue or the receiver. Prior to my receiver breaking, the laptop worked fine through it. They repaired the HDMI cards and they repaired the protection fault that was happening. The laptop works fine when hooked directly up to the TV's HDMI input.

Thanks

What resolution (640x480, 1024x768, 480i/p, 720p, 768p, 1080i/p) is the laptop set to?

Did you update the firmware of the AVR? (Don't assume HK did so when they "repaired" it!)

I have the exact same AVR.

Is your laptop the only way to send a signal to your AVR? Do you have a cable/sat box, HD DVD player, Blu-Ray player, upconverting player, etc.? Have you fed a SDPIF signal from your display to your AVR? (Okay, that won't test the HDMI, but still...)
