AVR 2307 set up

I have just bought the above and am having trouble setting it up with a dvd player. I am running 2 HDMI cables from DVD to AVR and then from AVR to LCD. Am getting DVD audio from AVR to speakers output correctly but can't seem to get the picture. Everything is else seems to be wired up correctly and have re-read the manual dozens of times! Any help out there would be much appreciated! Thankyou in advance.

Have you made sure your TV/Monitor menu is set to recognize the HDMI input?
At least that was the solution for me when I had the same issue with my set up.

You have to assign HDMI to the selected video input in the setup menu, as well as the audio menu.

System set-up > video set-up > HDMI assign > select source
