AVP upgrade opinion

I currently have and really like my Outlaw Audio 990 AVP.
I don't have HDMI, however.
I am interested in the Emotiva UMC-1. Is the UMC-1 a solid AVP without BUGS?
Should I just get a Yamaha RX-V3900 or RX-Z7 and use as an AVP?
Should I just keep my 990?
Your opinions are appreciated!

With HDMI 1.4a receivers coming out later this year, I would wait just a little longer and get this (receiver or pre-pros).

I heard the Emotiva UMC-1 still has some bugs/issues to be resolved.

Thanks for the advice. I'll wait a while longer.

I would wait until the new HDMI 1.4 equipped AVR's are fully debugged and priced down to the point where the HDMI 1.3 AVR's are at the moment. I know the HD codecs are tempting but a) you can still enjoy DTHD and DTS-HD-MA via the analog outs of the DMP-BD55 and b) Unless you have golden ears:D you may find that the regular DTS is not noticeably worse.
