I am thinking about getting a test disc for my HT setup/calibration. Which disc is a better value? Does one have some things the other does not or are they different versions of the same thing? Is one more Audio and one more Video, should i get both? I noticed that the Rives seems to be calibrated to the Radio Shack meter how bout the Avia? I have a meter now so is one better for use with this meter than the other?
Thanks for any input. Curt

I just purchased the Avia at Amazon.com for 34.97 no tax and free shipping.

That's kind of an apples to oranges comparison. I prefer the Rives disc for calibrating the sound, but that's all the Rives is for. The Avia has extensive video & surround calibration tools, too. It's nice to have both, but for setting up subs I like the Rives (and it's a plus that it's got tones made to comp for the nonlinearity of the Rat Shack meter).

I was actually happy they got as far as they did. Hey, they ended the Packer's season- that's always a wonderful thing! :D
