My guess is that it's a setting in the Dish receiver or like I said in your other thread they are using a different type of compression and it's affecting the sound more than DirecTV was, kinda like MP3 vs. AAC or WMA. If you start playing with the receiver settings you are going to end up having to change them every time you want to watch a movie or change the input as it will change the settings for everything. That in my mind would be a royal pain in a$$ and something I would not be willing to do. Maybe you could trade out your receiver for a new one and see if that helps?
