AV Receiver hook-up?

I have my Hd DVR hooked up via component cable to my Denon 3300 receiver and then component to my Bravia LCD. For now, that is all that's running into my tv. My dvd player also goes into my receiver via component. My question is that I would like to watch vcr tapes, (actually my kids do) and I would also like to watch video's through my ipod. I would also like to be able to do my "system set-up" for my receiver. Can I view all of this by simply hooking up an S-video cable from the monitor out on my Denon to the TV? I have the stereo connect for the ipod from Apple.
Thanks for the help!!!!

If the receiver can transcode from composite or s-video to component then you would not need an additional video cable from the receiver to the TV.

If it cannot, you can connect s-video from the monitor out to the TV but you'll have to switch the input on the TV when you switch the receiver to view the VCR or iPod.
