Hi all! I have been browsing yoru forum for some time now and have finally registered to post a question. I know if anyone can answer it that you guys can.

At my work we have a AV system attached to a ceiling hung projector. We have many units Satellite/Computer/Mics/Speakers/DVD/VCR etc...in the AV rack and they are all plugged into a bunch of different power strips

Does anyone have a reccomendation on a 'Power Tower' type of unit that has a boatload of plugs and possibly a battery backup for it? Price is not much of an object but i would like it to have about 20-30 plugs.

Any reccomendations would be greatly appreciated

Typically you would not use a single power unit like a Monster Power Center, but would opt for a single good surge supressor like a Surgex unit, then use a professional grade power strip (non-conditioned) plugged into the Surgex. The power strip will be the full height of the equipment rack it is going into so power cords don't have to be run all over the place, just a few inches over to the really long power strip.

You can pick up a long power strip from any dealer who carries Middle Atlantic equipment. Middle Atlantic racks are pretty much the industry standard for A/V racking.

This sounds like it could work ok. I took a look at the surgex units. If I get one of those and then get 2 strips, one for each side of the rack, it would be plenty of plugs.

thanks for all the responses, you guys are great :)+
