Hey fellow audio freaks. Anyone ever heard of or used one of these?

There is a link on the Hsu forums to this site. I have been having problems with my neighbours. More so, they have a problem with my Hsu STF 3 :)

Will this help me? The sub fires down. The thing is, my *****y neighbour is on the other side of my bedroom which is on the other side of my living room. I think they are feeling the bass on the floor as we are on the ground level.

I would appreciate any help on this issue..

It may work to reduce floor vibrations, however I have tried similar devices living in apartments. They do not help much and make the sub sound worse in your house. The only thing is to turn the sub down, or play it when you know the neighbor is not home.

Good luck to you.

If I turn it down any more, I may as well turn it off.

These guys claim the sub will sound better regardless.

Depending on how much it is, you can always try it. I myself have a side firing subwoofer, which sounds like its just as bad as a down firing.

As far as the sub goes, I know what you mean. I have to turn mine off frequently. I live in a house that was converted into a duplex. So I just wait till the neighbor leaves, who happens to be a 30 something single overweight school teacher who couldn't be further from a music lover.

That's not going to provide help much with the neighbors. You can buy two pieces of styrofoam, and carpet a piece of plywood on top, which will yeild similar results. It will decrease some of the vibration to the floor. The problem is, you are dealing with a massive sub. The soundwaves will still effect the rest of the room with compression. From their advice, you'd be better off to relocate your sub to a side wall and lose 18% of it's efficiency in producing bass - the reason you bought such a slammin' sub in the first place.

My advice, buy your neighbor a bottle of wine or a 6 pack of Molsen, and invite him/her over for a good flick. The best thing you can do is help them "catch the bug." Then they'll understand why you need your bass.
