general comments and, specifically, personal experience with these products, is welcome--

audiosource Amp One A = 200 watts into 8 ohms bridged/mono mode at $200 per unit (thus, a 3 channel 200 wpc solution would be $600 for all of you english majors)

audiosource Amp200 = 250 watts into 8 ohms bridged/mono at $250 per unit for $750 for a 3 channel 250 wpc solution.

potential issues:
a) anything that inexpensive must skimp on something(s)
b) multiple power cords

other comments and thoughts, positive and negative?

I used the Amp One/A and it was pretty good. Very detailed and clean. I never tried it bridged, but 200w seems realistic. If you do a search you will find a thread about a week ago talking about these amps. They can be had on ubid for under $100.

There's also the new Behringer amp that is already 160x2 at 8 Ohms and they are only $180, and you would only need two of them to have 4 channels. Also bridgeable.

tis the season. i ordered 3 audiosource amp one/A's to use across the front 3 channels of my home theater setup (bridged, each will supposedly output 200 wpc). with a 30 day return policy, why not see what happens. so, i'll post again next week to let you know how they perform. for these prices, my hopes are high, but my expectations are modest.

Not always. Refer to the Behringer A500. $180 and is an incredibly high quality/versatile amplifier.
